China's rapeseed output to reach 13 million tonnes
The rapeseed harvest of China will reach 13 million tonnes in the 2012 to 2013 crop, smaller than the 13.08 million tonnes in the last harvest, according to the China National Grain and Oils Information Center's estimate.
It also said that the country's rapeseed plantation area may total 7.05 million hectares in the 2012-2013 harvest, down 4.3% on-year.
Meanwhile, China has purchased a total of 20.4 million tonnes of wheat from 2012's crop in 11 major rice producing provinces as of June 30, according to statistics released by the State Grain Administration on July 5.
State-owned grain enterprises bought 13.75 million tonnes of wheat, accounting for 67% of the total amount.
