Sumitomo Chemical announces methionine price increase
Press release
Tokyo-based Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd., announces today (Jul 7) that the price of its feed grade (minimum 99 percent) dl-methionine will increase to US$3.05/kg or EUR2.45/kg, due to continuing high costs of raw materials such as that of naphtha derived from soaring crude oil prices, as well as high energy and transport costs.
As such, the price of its liquid methionine analog will also be adjusted accordingly. This price revision is with immediate effect.
All prior agreements and commitments will be honoured.
