Bird flu under control in North Korea
The North Korean government recently announced that bird flu in the country has been contained following the outbreak earlier this year.
The outbreak had involved the less virulent H7 strain of bird flu virus.
To prevent a new outbreak of bird flu, North Korea is working on bird flu research and border control of people, while monitoring the paths of migratory birds and checking workers at poultry farms in addition to vaccinating chickens, the government said.
