Brazil soy crush unchanged at 30 million tonnes
Brazil's soy industry kept its crush estimate at 30 million tonnes, but raised its export and final crop estimate, the Brazilian Vegetable Oils Industry Association, or Abiove, said Thursday (Jul 5).
Brazil is expected to export 26.8 million tonnes of soybeans, up from 26.6 million tonnes estimated in Abiove's May 5 estimate.
Abiove said Brazil harvested 59.5 million tonnes of soybeans in its 2006/07 crop year, up from 59.3 million tonnes in the May 5 estimate.
Export and production estimates remain unchanged for soymeal and soyoil when compared with the May 5 report.
Brazil is expected to produce 23 million tonnes of soymeal and export 12.9 million tonnes. Domestic consumption should be about 10.2 million tonnes.
Soyoil production is estimated at about 5.7 million tonnes, and exports are pegged at 2.15 million tonnes. Domestic consumption remains at 3.6 million tonnes.
