Biomin launches new research sponsorship initiative

Austrian animal nutrition company Biomin has launched on Jul 5 a new research sponsorship initiative called the Biomin Research And Innovation Network, or BRAIN.

Aimed at researchers specialising in fields such as animal nutrition, animal health, natural growth promotion, mycotoxins, feed microbiology and biotechnology, this research initiative is divided into two programmes.

The first, called the Scientific Studies programme, will sponsor researches proposed by students or Biomin, while in the second--called the Scientific Award programme--Biomin will recognise outstanding research papers already completed.

In both programmes, winners will have a chance to showcase their works at the annual World Nutrition Forum hosted by Biomin.

Research and development, Biomin's CEO Erich Erber explains, has been one of the company's cornerstones since its founding days and that one of its philosophies has always been to "innovate for the customers' benefit".

"We now want to broaden our base of research and development into a bigger, worldwide arena and thus invite the brightest students and researchers in our fields to participate in our BRAIN programme," Erber says. "By becoming a 'Brainee' you will contribute greatly to make this world a better place to live in."
