Ukraine's grains, oilseeds average purchasing prices down
The average purchasing prices for several varieties of grains and oilseeds in Ukraine for the period June 27-July 3, 2012 dropped compared to the previous week, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.
According to the Ministry, as of July 3 the average purchasing price for wheat reduced by 1% compared to the previous Tuesday (June 26). In particular, the prices for three-grade wheat totalled UAH1,702 (US$211) per tonne, four-grade wheat - UAH1,638 (US$203) per tonne, six-grade - UAH1,553 (US$192) per tonne.
The average purchasing prices for corn also decreased by 1% - to UAH1,622 (US$201) per tonne. The Ministry also marked a reduction of the purchasing price for sunflower seed by 1% - to UAH3,810 (US$471) per tonne, buckwheat - UAH4,448 (US$550) per tonne.
At the same time, the price of three-grade barley remained at the previous week level, and totalled UAH1,626 (US$201) per tonne.
The price of rapeseed grew by 1% compared to the previous week - to the level of UAH4,323 (US$535) per tonne.
