Vietnam southern hub increases pork prices
Prices of various types of pork under the city price stabilisation programme rose by VND4,000-VND10,000 (US$0.19-0.49) per kilogramme with effect from July 1, according to a recent adjustment made by the city Department of Finance.
The price of a kilogramme of pork thigh increased to VND88,000 (US$4.27) from VND84,000 (US$4.08), while half-fat and half-lean pork increased by VND4,000 (US$0.19) to VND95,000 (US$4.61).
The adjustment was made because of a strong increase in prices of live pigs sold in the market.
