Meyn acquires poultry meat scanning technology

 

 

Dutch-based Meyn Food Processing Technology B.V. has acquired the BoneScan range of X-ray and vision-based inspection systems for poultry from Spectral Fusion Technologies Ltd.

 

Meyn and SFT have been strategic partners for many years and have successfully cooperated in poultry processing projects. The BoneScan technology is an integrated part of the Meyn SMART solution for deboning and is able to detect contaminants 

 

Meyn acquired the BoneScan technology from SFT hoping to further develop the X-ray and vision technology for the poultry processing industry, 

 

Han van der Broek, CEO of Meyn said the acquisition would give Meyn the opportunity to further develop its strategy of incorporating new and highly advanced technologies into its systems.

 

Meyn provides poultry processing equipment to processors in more than 90 countries.

 

UK-based Spectral Fusion Technologies specialises in the design and development of industrial imaging systems for the poultry, red meat and fish industries and has offices in Europe, the US and Australia.
