Schering-Plough launches new website on poultry health
The animal health division of pharmaceutical giant Schering Plough has launched a new website for poultry producers for managing necrotic enteritis.
The website(http://www.netvaxforpoultry.com) was developed to support Schering-Plough Animal Health's Clostridium perfringens Type A toxoid, the poultry industry's first and only vaccine for controlling mortality due to necrotic enteritis,
Necrotic enteritis is a common intestinal disease in broilers.
Besides providing technical information about the vaccine, the website provides resources to help producers manage necrotic enteritis in an antibiotic-free production.
The website also provides an online calculator that allows producers to determine the benefits of vaccination.
The website also provides a range of articles on antibiotic-free trends and related topics, such as coccidiosis, gangrenous dermatitis, intestinal health and antibiotic resistance.
