EU likely to impose restrictions on Chinese seafood
The EU is planning to tighten the restrictions on import of seafood products from China, said EU spokesman Philip Todd in Beijing.
The announcement comes barely a week after the US announced it is placing restrictions on five types of seafood from China.
US's FDA said the restrictions were imposed due to the fact that unsafe additives and drugs were found in shipments.
The tightened restrictions are likely to put strong impact to China, the world's largest seafood producer and exporter.
