DSM Nutritional Products increases price of VevoVitall
Press release
DSM Nutritional Products announced Jul 2, 2007, a worldwide price increase for VevoVitall (ultra-pure grade of benzoic acid) of EUR50/tonne (for Europe) or US$120/tonne (for rest of the world) with immediate effect.
The company cited increased energy, raw material and transport costs this year as reasons for the price increase.
Existing contracts will be honoured.
VevoVitall decreases the pH of urine, significantly reducing ammonia emission in swine production. According to DSM, studies have also shown that the use of VevoVitall leads to an additional benefit of EUR1-3 per pig.
