EPEXA joins forces with AVEC office in Brussels

During its general assembly in May 2007, EPEXA, the official Association of European Hatching Egg, Day-old Chick and Pullet Exporters in the EU, decided to join forces with AVEC, the Association of Poultry Processors and Poultry Trade in the EU, by using one common secretariat representing the specific interests of both organisations.

 

This move follows the official retirement of Gudrun Vitale-Krustrup who has run the general secretariat of EPEXA in Brussels since its establishment in 1987.

 

Leo von Drechsel, President of EPEXA, said, "Gudrun has always done a fantastic job in representing the interest of all EPEXA members to the EU. We will miss her input and drive very much. To ensure EPEXA plays its important role, we will now make use of the services of the AVEC office in Brussels".

 

Drechsel added that EPEXA would remain an independent organisation "with its own strong identity like before".
