Colorado's corn production expected to increase

Colorado corn producers intend to harvest 1.2 million acres of corn this year, up 22% from last year, according to the USDA's latest forecast.

A USDA report released Wednesday (Jun 30) said Colorado corn producers planted 1.35 million acres of corn this year for all purposes.

The USDA reported that nationwide, an estimated 87.9 million acres of corn have been planted, up 2% from last year.
