China denies ban on US chicken imports

A Chinese vice minister on Thursday (Jul 2) denied reports that China was blocking US chicken imports.

 

According to information, China's chicken imports were normal and orderly with stable prices, Chen Jian, a vice-commerce minister told reporters.

 

The USA Poultry and Egg Export Council earlier this week said the US would not receive any import permits for its poultry products from China's ministry of commerce starting July 1.
