Marine Harvest appoints managing director for Chile unit

Marine Harvest has appointed Alvaro Jimenez as the managing director for the company's Chile unit.

Jimenez has also been appointed as a member of the Group Management Team of Marine Harvest.

Jimenez joined the company through the acquisition of his Santiago-based company Delifish. He has acted in the position since April, when Chile unit CEO Torben Petersen left the company after his employment contract expired.

Jimenez was originally the director of value added smoked operations in the Chile management team.
