No poultry deaths in China's Qinghai following anti-bird flu measures
Following mass vaccinations and prevention efforts in China's Qinghai province, there have been no reports of poultry that died from the recent bird flu epidemic so far, according to the government. No human deaths have also been reported.
Meanwhile, there were only a few reports on the death of wild birds in the province recently.
The Chinese government reportedly still tests migratory birds with no epidemic symptoms in bird flu-affected areas to confirm whether they still carried the H5N1 virus or had already acquired immunity.
The local authorities in Qinghai have also organised experts to study the seasonal routes of migratory birds in a bid to provide information to regions where the birds may pass through.
