Corn prices in China stable to higher early this week amid low supplies in some regions (June 30, 2005)

Corn prices in China edged higher in some regions early this week. Prices continued to strengthen in the north-eastern production regions as supplies remained low.
Demand for corn in the Yellow / Huai River production regions picked up slightly in recent days, causing prices to rise marginally in some areas.
Meanwhile, corn prices in some parts of the southern consumption regions also increased marginally due to tight supplies there.
