China Import 5,306 MT Lysine in May and Export 1,795 MT

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported a total of 5,306 metric tons of lysine in May 2004, down by 1,151 metric tons compared with imports in April. Lysine imports from January to May 2004 totaled 25,107 metric tons, a fall of 6,010 metric tons compared with the same period last year.

Export
             

A total of 1,795 metric tons of lysine was exported by China in May 2004. Lysine exports from January to May totaled 11,152 metric tons. China exports lysine mainly to Canada, the United States and Philippines.
