Unisplendour to expand its DL-methionine Plant in China
Chongqing Unisplendour Chemical Co Ltd plans to expand its DL-methionine production in Chongqing, southwestern China, from its current annual production of 10,000 tonnes to an estimated total annual production of 60,000 tonnes.
The expansion is planned to meet the growing demand worldwide, particularly from China and other Asian countries and to continue to offer quality and reasonably- priced DL-methionine to its customers. The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
Unisplendour launched the DL-methionine production facility in Chongqing in 2010. The company, founded in 2001, also produces hydrogen cyanide, N-phenylglycinonitrile, iminodiacetonitrile, DHP and TMOF.
