FMD found in Taiwan's pig farm

At a pig farm in Taiwan, foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) has been found, according to World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) reports.

The contamination was found during a routine control at a market. All 150 animals at the farm have been culled and 1km around the farm is controlled more strictly from now on.

The type of FMD is not known yet. In China and Japan, FMD outbreaks are of the type O.
