Vietnam's Poultry Farmers May Borrow Up To 50 Million VND Without Collateral
According to a draft document just submitted by the State Bank of Viet Nam to the Prime Minister for approval, commercial banks can lend up to 50 million VND without collateral to poultry farmers who have already borrowed money from them but incurred losses due to the bird flu epidemic.
This was considered a key measure to help bird flu-affected poultry farmers who cannot meet bankers' requirements, in a bid restore their production or shift to other businesses.
