Russia sees 85 million tonnes grain harvest this year
The Agriculture Minister Nikolay Fedorov stated during a government session on June 25 that Russia's Ministry of Agriculture expects to harvest 85 million tonnes of grain this year.
The forecast is based on agricultural data obtained from the regions.
Some of Russia's regions were hit by rigorous winter and drought and, thus, expect smaller crops.
However, the Minister thinks that Russia will harvest at least some 20 million tonnes for export.
