Ukraine's Ukrlandfarming to ship three million tonnes grain
In the 2012-13 marketing year (July 2012-June 2013), Ukrlandfarming has plans to export three million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, company press service has informed Ukrainian News.
The company plans to export the commodity to the markets conventional for the Ukrainian grain: Near and Middle East and other Asian countries.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food Supplies predicts grain exports in the 2011-12 marketing year (July 2012-June 2013) at 20 million-25 million tonnes.
Ukrlandfarming has expanded its land bank by 4.7% or 24,000 hectares to 532,000 hectares.
The holding company consists of 111 horizontal grain storage facilities, six seed factories, 19 poultry farms, nine farms for breeding laying hens, three sow farms, three breeding farms, six feed mills, three long-term storage warehouses, a factory for production of egg products Imperovo Foods, six sugar refineries, 19 meat processing factories and two tanneries.
