Corn production and imports in Mexico may rise
Mexico may produce 24 million tonnes of corn in the year beginning October 1, up from 20.9 million a year earlier, according to the USDA.
Corn imports into Mexico may rise to 9.2 million tonnes from an estimated 8.6 million the previous year, the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service said in a report posted today on its website.
Wheat imports in the year that began May 1 may be unchanged from a year earlier at 3.5 million tonnes.
