Nutreco to expand fish feed production capacity in Norway
Dutch animal nutrition company Nutreco Holding NV said it is investing EUR 24 million to expand its fish feed production capacity in Norway to improve logistics and enhance efficiency.
The expansion of the facility, at Averoy, would include a new warehouse, improved port facilities and extra storage for raw materials.
To be completed by June 2008, the expansion would quadruple the production capacity of the facility from 60,000 tonnes to 240,000 tonnes.
The company said new production technology would create more feed development possibilities with support from Nutreco's fish feed unit's global research facility ARC in Norway.
Nutreco's fish feed unit Skretting is also planning to increase capacity by another 100,000 tonnes after June 2008.
