China lysine exports almost unchanged in May


 

China's lysine exports in May totalled about 9,571 tonnes, almost unchanged from April.


For the period from January to May 2006, China's lysine exports totalled about 40,149 tonnes worth about US$36.868 million.


China's lysine exports to South-east Asian countries improved slightly in May, with shipments to Vietnam and the Philippines exceeding 500 tonnes each. 


Most exports still went to Europe. Shipments to Dutch ports reached 1,753 tonnes, down by over 2,000 tonnes from April. Exports to Poland rose by about 900 tonnes from the previous month to 1,282.5 tonnes.
