Egg prices rise in Philippines due to high feed costs

Egg prices in the Philippines have gone up in all major regions, GMA News reported on June 23.

According to the report, the county's egg prices increased in Quezon city as well as in Ilocos Norte, Albay and Kidapawan city.

In Kidapawan city, prices increased by as much as PHP5 (US$0.11) per tray. In Ilocos Norte, depending on sizes, prices have been rising for the past several weeks.

Some suppliers attributed the price increase to higher costs of poultry feed.
