China lysine producers cut prices to stimulate buying
Lysine prices continued to slide during the week ending June 25.
Lysine producers who were eager to clear stocks cut prices to entice buyers. However, buying interest was weak while most buyers have stocked ample supplies. Additionally, weaker soymeal exerted further pressure on the market.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB10.80-11/kg.
Weaker lysine prices are expected in the coming weeks as producers compete to release stocks.
