Typhoon damage to Philippines farm and fisheries at US$90 million 

The damage from Typhoon Fengshen to the country's agriculture and fisheries sectors has so far reached PHP4 billion (US$90 million), the Department of Agriculture said Wednesday (June 25, 2008).

Fisheries bore the brunt of the damage - at PHP2.26 billion (US$ 50.85 million).

Typhoon Fengshen battered Hong Kong Wednesday after hitting the Philippines over the weekend.
