Methionine prices linger at historic low in China
Prices of methionine were mostly unchanged during the week ending June 25.
Even as demand for methionine was weak, methionine suppliers stood firm on prices which were at historic low levels.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained in the range of RMB26.80-27.50/kg.
The demand for methionine is unlikely to pick up in the near term with market participants withholding purchases while the economy prospects of China look bleak.
