Sumitomo Chemical raises its methionine price in China, Asia-Pacific

Japan's Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd., announced Jun 25 an upward price adjustment for its DL-Methionine 99 percent feed grade to US$3.00/kg in China and the Asia-Pacific with immediate effect.

The company cited continued increases in raw material, energy and transport costs as reasons for the increase.

In line with the above, Sumitomo will also adjust its price of Liquid Methionine Analog 88 percent feed grade accordingly with immediate effect.

All prior agreements and commitments will be honoured.
