BASF's South Korea Lysine Factory Fail To Restart After Routine Maintenance
A lysine factory owned by BASF failed to resume operations after it underwent an annual maintenance shutdown earlier in the month.
According to a BASF official, the factory is having difficulties with the start-up operation. Thus production will possibly be seriously affected for the next few weeks.
The factory, which is situated in South Korea, produces an estimated 90,000 tons of lysine every year. It is one of the biggest lysine factories in the world.
