China's Soymeal Exports in May Down 54% to 37,963 MT

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China exported a total of 37, 963 metric tons of soymeal in May 2004, registering a significant year-on-year drop of 54%. 

From January to May 2004, China's accumulative soymeal exports were down by 26.2% to 206,646 tons, the Customs data shows.  Of the total exports, 29,488 tons were exported to Japan, 4,900 tons to Malaysia, 2,026 tons to South Korea, 1,020 tons to North Korea and 299 tons to Hong Kong.
