Livestock Philippines 2015 opens

Livestock Philippines 2015 Expo, touted as the country's No. 1 feed, livestock and animal-health show, opened Wednesday, June 24 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Metro Manila.
Exhibiting over 200 brands from 18 countries, the event will have President Benigno S. Aquino III as its guest of honor during the formal ceremonies on Thursday at 10 a.m. The expo ends Friday.
According to the organiser, UBM Asia, 80% of this year's third edition of Livestock Philippines, a biennial event, are foreign companies. The event is hosted by the Philippine Department of Agriculture and its attached agencies Bureau of Animal Industry and National Meat Inspection Service.
Aside from the wide array of state-of-the-art display of equipment and facilities on livestock production, Livestock Philippines 2015 also featureswhole-day seminars and discussions for three days. Topics range from global trends in feeds, poultry and livestock and trends in animal nutrition to nanotechnology applied in the livestock industry.
With the show's "Farm-to-Shelf" theme, three co-located events are also be featured during the show: Feeds Expo Philippines 2015; Food Processing and Packaging Philippines 2015 Expo; and PhilMeat 2015 Expo & Technical Seminar.
Feed Expo 2015 focuses on animal feeds and feed ingredients, additives, supplements and premixes, feed quality control and feed manufacturing. Food Processing and Packaging Expo 2015 showcases the newest trends in food processing, ingredients and packaging while PhilMeat 2015 presentsthe latest innovations on meat processing and packaging.
