High methionine prices stifle buying interest in China
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending June 23.
As prices rose sharply of late, buyers held back purchases after stockpiling sufficient inventories, hence resulting in slower sales of methionine during June.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine softened to the range of RMB42-45/kg.
Prices of methionine will likely consolidate around current levels in the coming period.
