CWB sends pool A feed barley final payment to producers
The Canadian Wheat Board will send western Canadian producers a final payment of C$41.64 per tonne for feed barley delivered to Pool A during the 2008-09 (August-July) crop year.
Farmers will receive payment by direct deposit on June 30, the CWB said Tuesday (June 23) in a press release. Producers who receive payment by check can expect to begin receiving checks in the mail by July 10.
The CWB is contacting farmers who delivered to this pool to inquire whether this payment should be issued or deferred.
The Pool A feed barley pool ran from Aug. 1, 2008, to Jan. 31, 2009.
The CWB said this final payment represents the balance of the money owed to farmers after their feed barley has been marketed through the CWB and after operating costs have been deducted.
