Israel's Off Tov to supply chicken products to China
Israel-based poultry producer Off Tov will be supplying the Chinese restaurant industry with 120 tonnes of chicken legs monthly with the total amount exported by the end of 2009 estimated to reach 1,500 tonnes, valuing US$1.27 million.
Off Tov's partnership with the Chinese market began in the period around the Beijing Olympics, when the company supplied safe poultry products to athletes and tourists.
The company's exports to China and Hong Kong will be through a Chinese distribution company that specialises in selling poultry products to the restaurant and hotel industries in China.
