AKVA group has been awarded a contract for the supply of Wavemaster steel cages to Marine Harvest in Scotland, which will involve delivering completed cage groups in October 2009 and early 2010.

The agreement also includes delivery of future requirements of the latest type Wavemaster EX-24 steel cages as existing units are being replaced. The initial contract is valued at around NOK12 million (US$1.9 million). 

AKVA has worked closely with Marine Harvest for some time now to ensure the product specification met their exact needs. More than 7,500 Wavemaster cages have been installed at a wide range of sites and in many different climates around the world.
