China's methionine imports down in May
China's methionine imports registered 7,211.2 tonnes in May, down by about 1,600 tonnes from April.
Average import price in May was US$3.36/kg, down by US$0.96/kg compared with the previous month.
Belgium (3,956 tonnes), Japan (2,317.70 tonnes) and France (720 tonnes) were the three largest exporters of methionine to China during May.
