CP invests RMB100 million in hog breeding farm in China's Jiangsu
Charoen Pokphand will be investing RMB100 million in a new hog farm. The Thailand-based conglomerate and the local government of Lianshui district, in China's Jiangsu province, recently penned the agreement.
On completion, the farm will be stocked with 2,400 heads of pure breed hogs. On an annual basis, the farm will be able to supply 10,000 heads of foreign common cross breed hogs. With its modern production facilities, the new farm will serve as a model in the modernization of hog production in Huai'an region, Jiangsu province.
