Thailand investigates mysterious chicken deaths
Thai authorities are inspecting the mysterious death of chickens bred by villagers in Wang Thong district in Phitsanulok Province.
Officials has removed all carcasses and collected samples for the Lower Northern Veterinary Research and Development Centre, so as to determine the cause of death.
The authorities have conducted an area sanitisation, isolating the area and stopping the movement of poultry in fear of a possible bird flu transmission. Poultry movements in and out of the village will also be stopped until laboratory results are available.
