Canada and South Korea have announced that they will cease their beef product trade dispute.

In a brief statement to the WTO, the two countries announced that, "On June 20, 2012, Canada and the Republic of Korea submitted a notification of a mutually agreed solution in the dispute, "Korea - Measures Affecting the Importation of Bovine Meat and Meat Products from Canada".

The WTO said that further information will be available within the next few days.

At any stage during the dispute settlement process, parties can settle the dispute by finding a "mutually agreed solution".
