Shanxi Coking Coal Group signs deal to build meat processing plant

Shanxi Coking Coal Group Co Ltd has made a contract with a major meat producer, Henan Luohe Shuanghui Industry Group Co Ltd, to establish a pig slaughtering and processing complex.

The project, located in Taiyuan City, the capital of Northeastern China's Shanxi Province, will have an estimated investment of RMB1 billion (US$0.16 billion). It will be able to slaughter two million pigs and process 100,000 tonnes of meat products annually.

Shanxi Coking Coal Group and Shuanghui Industry Group expect the facility to generate RMB3-4 billion (US$0.47-$0.63 billion) in sales revenue. It will be operational in one year.
