Last year, US shrimp orders for Thai shrimp reached only 184,968 tonnes. On its website, the Thai Frozen Foods Association says Thai shrimp are produced by farms that strictly adhere to stringent international food safety protocols. These farms, it said, did not use any form of antibiotics or synthetic drugs.
