US maintains anti-dumping tax on Vietnamese fish fillets
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is sustaining its existing anti-dumping duties on frozen fish fillets from Vietnam for another five years.
The commission said that revoking the duty order would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.
According to media reports, the act requires the US Department of Commerce to review an anti-dumping or countervailing duty order, or terminate a suspension agreement, after five years.
The commission generally does not hold a hearing or conduct further investigative activities in expedited reviews.
The department has also decided to maintain the anti-dumping duty on imports of tra and basa catfish products from Vietnam.
