Australia's Victoria state supports GM feed for dairy cattle
Dairy farmers in Victoria state-Australia's biggest dairy industry--have approved support the use of genetically modified (GM) feed on its dairy farms.
The approval is expected to influence the Victorian Government's review of its current ban on GM crops.
Others however have expressed scepticism the use of GM due to lack of research on its effects.
Ian MacAuley from milk processing company Murray Goulburn says regardless of the vote, the company will continue to use GM free products to ensure consumers of a "worry-free" product.
