Ukrainian meat processors reduce production in May

 

 

In May, Ukrainian meat processing companies lessened the output of meat and by-products of the first category by 4.2% or 3,921 tonnes to 88,792 tonnes, in contrast to April.

 

The media learned this from a source in the Cabinet of Ministers.

 

In May 2011, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 15.7% or 12,042 tonnes, compared with May 2010.

 

In January-May 2011, production of meat and by-products of the first category grew by 12.5% or 49,156 tonnes to 443,694 tonnes, as compared with January-May of 2010.

 

According to the media, in April, meat processing enterprises decreased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 0.6% or 577 tonnes to 92,713 tonnes, compared with March.

 

In 2010, production of meat and by-products of the first category increased by 6.3% or 59,236 tonnes, compared with 2009, to 999,507 tonnes.
