The reorganisation of Nortura's poultry slaughterhouses and egg packing units will be prolonged than initially planned.

The Norwegian meat and poultry cooperative had hoped that it could decide which of the units should be closed before the summer, but this will now be postponed until autumn.

Nortura is evaluating the two slaughterhouses in Elverum and Rakkestad in eastern Norway, a processing plant at Hærland and egg packing units in Silsand, Heimdal, Hå, Rakkestad and Bø.
