Zimbabwe's Colcom expands its pig out-grower scheme
Zimbabwe's major pork processor, Colcom Holdings has expanded its pig out-grower scheme through its division Triple C Pigs.
Triple C Pigs head of public relations Israel Muchuchu said the company has extended the scheme to Mashonaland Central and East provinces to boost the country's swine production and satisfy demand from the export market.
He said the firm has started scouting lands for pig breeding and some nucleus breeding points in Mashonaland Central.
The company has also sought the assistance of the provincial governor and the Department of Livestock.
