US pork net sales fall 24% last week
According to the USDA's latest Weekly Export Sales report, US pork net sales stood at 6,500 tonnes last week, falling by 24% from the previous week and were down 39% from the prior four-week average.
While sales to Mexico (2,400 tonnes), Canada (1,300 tonnes), Japan (900 tonnes), South Korea (600 tonnes) and Hong Kong (300 tonnes) increased, shipment to New Zealand (200 tonnes) dropped last week.
At 9,800 tonnes, pork sales were down 6% from the previous week and 3% from the prior four-week average.
